The revival of shipbuilding in Ukraine is possible. To do this, the state must create the same rules for supporting the industry, as in the world leading countries in this field. Such an opinion was expressed in a commentary to the “Nikvesti” publication on the corridors of parliament by MP Vadym Novynskyi. According to him, today in the world there are five leading countries in shipbuilding.
“In order for shipbuilding to be a successful industry in Ukraine, it is necessary to adopt the same laws and rules for supporting shipbuilding as in the leading countries in this field. These are China, Korea, Japan, Germany, Turkey. Here are the five “world champions” in shipbuilding. Therefore, in Ukraine, at the state level, it is necessary to adopt the same laws in support of this industry as in the leading countries,” Vadym Novynskyi considers.
He also added that in all these countries, the industry was successful due to special conditions from the state.
“Nowhere in the world this industry is successful without the state creating special rules for the game for it. The revival of shipbuilding in the city of Mykolayiv is possible, I have been talking about this constantly for the past ten years. I believe that shipbuilding in Ukraine will revive, but the state should turn to face it,” the MP emphasized.
