The Borys Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation continues to implement programs and projects in Donetsk Oblast aimed at developing sports in Ukraine, improving the young generation and introducing it to a healthy lifestyle.
Last year, the President of the Foundation, Borys Kolesnikov, launched the construction of the ice arena in Mariupol. The construction work is going on there now, and the Charitable Foundation has launched a competition for the best emblem for the hockey club, which will be based on the new arena – “Mariupol” HC.
Receiving of sketches will last until May 6, inclusive. To take part in the competition, it is necessary to fill out the registration form on the Foundation’s website, attach a logo to it, and describe your idea. The priority combination of colors – red with black. Ten best logos will be put to vote from May 7 to 16. Fans will help determine the main symbol of “Mariupol” HC and enter the name of its author in the history of the club. The authors of the three emblems who get the most votes will receive certificates from the Foundation for UAH 50 thousand, UAH 25 thousand and UAH 15 thousand. Winners will be announced on May 17.
“I invite everyone to take part in the contest; this especially concerns my fellow countrymen – Mariupol residents. I want them to demonstrate their vision of how the club from Mariupol should look like. According to the results of this activity, everyone will win: the hockey club will receive a logo, and the contestants – a unique experience and the opportunity to express themselves at the highest level: during the voting, their work will be evaluated by thousands of people. The appearance of the club with a serious material and technical base on the hockey map of Ukraine will be the next step towards raising the level of hockey in our country,” Borys Kolesnikov noted.Recall, the Charitable Foundation implements sports and educational projects for students, schoolchildren, and beginner athletes in the Donbas. Thus, at the end of March, the School of Cooking Art was opened in Kostiantynivka, where students in food specialties from all over the region can attend master classes by chefs free of charge. The next step is the opening of a driving school by the Foundation, where young people from 18 to 23 years old will study free of charge. The Foundation, with the assistance of the Board of Trustees of the region, also implements social programs designed to support the local population: installs new elevators, provides targeted assistance to children and old people.
