The use of “grids” of voter bribery is characteristic of the authorities, which could not demonstrate any economic success or improvement of social security of citizens, and therefore are not confident in their abilities. MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Oleksandr Dolzhenkov commented on the cynical manipulations of the authorities during the presidential election campaign.
“I believe that such actions by representatives of state power are humiliating and cynical in relation to their compatriots. Do they really estimate the support of Ukrainian citizens in a thousand or a half thousand hryvnia?” the oppositionist said.
Oleksandr Dolzhenkov stressed that the current authorities, issuing this money one-time, are trying at the expense of public funds to somehow maintain the status quo. Unfortunately, the authorities forget that they are exploiting public funds, which should be distributed proportionally among all, and not only among the supporters of the current president. “The use of public funds for own purposes is the highest degree of greed and cynicism, which is manifested in not spending money and being re-elected at the people’s expense,” Oleksandr Dolzhenkov stated.
The politician also noted that the OPPOSITION BLOC is against such methods. Opposition supporters understand that as soon as changing in the authorities after presidential and parliamentary elections, the OPPOSITION BLOC will not leave these facts unnoticed and will initiate criminal proceedings. This concerns not only the use of “dirty” electoral technologies, but also resonant facts with theft in the defense complex of Ukraine, the offshore scandals of Panama Papers, the tragic events on the Maidan, the tragedy of May 2 in Odesa, as well as the dead in the Ilovaisk.
“It’s time to stop the mess, because the mess in the country that we are seeing now begins with the riots in the streets,” Oleksandr Dolzhenkov. The oppositionist urged all citizens of Ukraine to consciously make their choice and remember that they should not vote for those who do not respect their opinion, but try to buy their vote. After all, the state is obliged to provide social support to its citizens every day, and not only during the election campaign.
