The objective of the OPPOSITION BLOC is to revive the economy, raise social standards and the well-being of citizens, as well as conduct real, rather than fake decentralization. This was stated by the candidate for people’s deputies, the CEO of “Zaporizhstal” PJSC, Rostyslav Shurma, on the air of the “Ukraine” TV channel.
“Today Zaporizhstal employees receive an average of UAH 20 thousand. This is probably a high salary, looking back at the economic situation in Ukraine. However, are we satisfied with it? No, we aren’t. We want it to be UAH 40 thousand. This is not only about “Zaporizhstal”. This is about Zaporizhia, and about the whole of Ukraine. However, in our real sector of the economy, we cannot just give out promises like “we will double the salaries”, “we will increase the pensions three times”. Sober calculation is necessary here. It is necessary to be held accountable for every step,” Rostyslav Shurma stressed.
According to him, in the case of introducing systemic changes in the economy and adopting the right sectoral economic programs – from small and medium-sized businesses to engineering and metallurgy – the positive changes in the state will not keep you waiting.
“We will receive billions in investments in each of the sectors of the economy, the creation of millions of jobs, and the achievement of high wages. We know how to do it,” the politician emphasized.
According to him, it is possible to be convinced of the effectiveness of the OPPOSITION BLOC team by looking at the achievement of the mayor of Zaporizhia, Volodymyr Buriak.
“We were able to really achieve good changes in the infrastructure, in the improvement of the city – we started doing everything that had not been done for 10-15 years. But again, we ask ourselves: are we satisfied with what we have already done? The answer is no. Because we did only 10% of what we planned. We are prevented by legislative restrictions at the state level. For example, there is the well-known “Dnieper Hydroelectric Station”. There in an emergency, terrible condition of the road, on which a hundred thousand people go every day. For legal reasons, we cannot even repair them. And the state, which should be responsible for them, does not want to do this,” Rostyslav Shurma emphasized.
According to him, in Zaporizhia only 20% of the funds generated by the city remain – the rest is taken by the center. “This is not enough to effectively invest in roads, public transport, medicine, schools. Therefore, our team is going to parliament to achieve genuine economic decentralization. We have accumulated experience and the desire to change something in the state. And we are ready to do it,” the candidate for people’s deputies summarized.
