Jointly with the Association “Ukrlegprom”, MPs Vadym Novynskyi, Oleksandr Vilkul, Dmytro Kolesnikov, Andriy Halchenko and Kostyantyn Pavlov have drafted the draft law No. 10192 of March 27, 2019 on amending the Tax Code to stimulate investment attractiveness of Ukrainian light industry.
The draft law is the result of discussing the problems of the industry at the All-Ukrainian Congress of Light Industry Enterprises in November 2018, the conclusions of which were included in the resolution of the Congress. Following its results, a number of sectoral enterprises that are members of the Association “Ukrlegprom” appealed to the OPPOSITION BLOC to help legally regulate the creation of conditions for the development of the domestic light industry.
The provisions of the draft law stipulate that from January 1, 2020, enterprises of the industry will be exempted from VAT when importing equipment and spare parts to it, as well as from income tax on core activities. The released funds of the company will be used in the modernization of production. According to the authors of the draft law, as a result of its adoption, the domestic industry will be able to attract investments, build new industries and create about 200 thousand new jobs with market wages.
