According to the Opposition Prime Minister Borys Kolesnikov, the President himself must choose his own team. No one has the right to tell who he can or can’t hire, said the oppositionist, commenting on the accusations against Zelensky on the appointment of Andriy Bohdan to the post of the Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, falling under the law on lustration.
“For starters, the law on lustration is unconstitutional. It is wrong to blame everyone indiscriminately for working in state structures under the previous power. After all, if so, then Petro Poroshenko must fall under lustration – he was also the Minister of Economy at the time of Yanukovych. As for the situation as a whole, any top manager chooses his own team. He should be comfortable working with it,” the Opposition Prime Minister said.
He noted that this topic should not be a subject of discussion at all, and it is given such a significance in Ukraine only because of the excessive politicization of our country. “I cannot imagine that, for example, in Denmark, which is in the first place in the world according to the index of human happiness, there would be a discussion about who appointed whom and other technical details. That’s how it has to be: Zelensky himself must decide who he works with,” Borys Kolesnikov emphasized.
