Prime Minister of the Opposition Government Borys Kolesnikov announced the start of a large-scale program to restore the water supply of the Kostiantynivsky district, Donetsk Oblast.
“The current water situation in the Kostiantynivsky district is a complete disaster. For 5 years, no one dealt with this issue. The power sang carols, measured the length of embroidered shirts and held medieval meetings, instead of replacing the Slavyansk-Kostiantynivka water-pipe,” the politician noted.
At the initiative of Borys Kolesnikov, food tanks were delivered to the Kostiantynivsky district. Now residents of the city and district can receive 200 thousand liters of drinking water each day.
“Together with the volunteers, we are embarking on a large-scale program to restore reserve wells, to supply the villages built back in 1950-1960. We will fully implement this program in a month and a half,” the opposition Prime Minister added.
Borys Kolesnikov intends to press the power to complete replace of the Slavyansk-Kostiantynivka conduit and restore the construction of the Dnipro-Donbas Canal, which will permanently remove the problem with water in the region. “After that, I am absolutely confident in the future of the Donbas, its inhabitants, industry and agriculture. We will move nowhere without water!” the oppositionist emphasized.
