As a result of the presidential election, it became clear that 85% of Ukrainians do not support the current authorities. If the new president wants to change the lives of Ukrainians for the better, he must act simply and quickly. This opinion was expressed by Prime Minister of the Opposition Government Borys Kolesnikov in an interview with the newspaper “Segodnya”.
According to him, the result of the presidential election is the payback of the authorities over five years of unfulfilled promises, the lack of peace and the desire to achieve it. “There was no economic growth due to lack of investment. Nobody trusts Ukraine. Therefore, there is no socially tangible result. These elections are a statement of the fact that the authorities have done nothing over 5 years,” the opposition Prime Minister stated.
Borys Kolesnikov drew attention to the fact that according to the results of the elections, 85% of Ukrainians opposed the policies of the current authorities. “Who represented the authorities in the first round?” Current president. All other candidates were oppositional. Therefore, 85% of Ukrainians are against the current authorities. This is a consolidated result, rather than the result of Petro Poroshenko,” he added.
According to Borys Kolesnikov, the new president will have to make a lot of efforts to end the war and overcome poverty. “But since in the parliamentary-presidential republic a large role is played by the parliament and the government, I consider, this is only the first step. It is necessary to simplify and make transparent everything. What the representatives of the old and new teams are talking about is digital government. They will act simply and quickly and will achieve results,” Borys Kolesnikov summarized.
