MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Ihor Shurma said about this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.
“On May 17, 2018, the ruling coalition voted for the law on transplantation. The MPs from different factions then asked: do not make a decision on its introduction from January 1, 2019, because it is necessary to adopt another 30 by-law acts. But, the majority still decided to vote. Responsibility for its implementation was assigned to the Cabinet of Ministers, and the documents should have been prepared by the Ministry of Health. But this was not done – not a single by-law act appeared until January 1, 2019. This means that the leadership of the Ministry of Health is inactive and irresponsible about its duties to the Ukrainian people,” the politician stated.
He noted that although the new law did not work, from January 1, he suspended the action of the old law. “For two months of 2019, nobody has done anything either. And on Thursday, February 28, in one minute you voted for the new draft law, even the text of which was not seen. And there, by the way, there are nine amendments to the law that you voted for in May 2018. What does this mean? That the law you voted that time was the law of poor quality. And who will be responsible if this draft law does not work either?” the opposition politician said.
The MP raised another problem, namely, delaying the appointment to the post of Director of the Heart Institute, Borys Todurov. “Deputy of the Acting Minister of Health Oleksandr Lynchevskyi not only failed to work with cancer patients, did not agree on budget programs for two thousand scientists. He still has not signed a contract with Borys Todurov. He can be loved or disliked, but the fact that he is saving lives every day cannot be denied. Todurov won the competition, passed 10 special tests, the Institute’s team supported him, and he applied for the position. According to the law, he must be employed within a month. And Lynchevskyi has been holding documents for a month and does not sign them. Is it normal? We demand to stop this mockery from the leadership of the Ministry of Health”, Ihor Shurma emphasized.
