Volodymyr Husak: Four weeks, Parliament has been considering amendments to the law on language rather than taking anti-crisis measures

The Verkhovna Rada works extremely inefficiently, said MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Volodymyr Husak on the “Nash” TV channel.

According to the politician, in recent years the level of trust in parliament has not exceeded 1-2%. “Parliament works especially inefficiently. There is a vivid example of this: instead of considering economic laws that would have brought the country out of the crisis, the parliament has been considering amendments to the law on language for fourth week,” Volodymyr Husak stressed.

Another problem of the current convocation of the Verkhovna Rada is the lack of a coalition. “There is really no coalition in the Verkhovna Rada now, both de facto and de jure. The old coalition has fallen apart, and no one announced the creation of a new one; there are no signatures of MPs. Petro Poroshenko does not dissolve the parliament, because it is only his right, not an obligation. After all, the parliament somehow works, and that suits him,” Volodymyr Husak said.

According to the MP, after the victory of Volodymyr Zelensky in the second round of elections, based on political expediency, such a decision can be made. After all, there will be a confrontation between the newly elected president with a level of support of 60-70% and the old Verkhovna Rada with a level of confidence of 1-2%.
