The process of creating united territorial hromadas is an extremely responsible and difficult mission with a lot of pitfalls, MP, Viktoriia Hryb, considers. At a meeting with the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Alyona Babak, she analyzed the problems that arise during the formation of united territorial hromadas in the Donbas, as well as the instruments for attracting technical assistance to local territorial communities.
According to her, there should be no rush in this matter. It is necessary to weigh everything and analyze it from an economic and social point of view.
“The basic principles of decentralization reform cannot be violated: the voluntariness and economic efficiency of future united territorial hromadas,” Victoriia Hryb said.
The politician believes that having consolidated; the communities are able to accumulate more funds for the development of territories. But, she added, the question arises – what to do to insolvent communities.
“Not everyone was lucky to have a large industrial enterprise on the territory. Therefore, it is very important to carefully study all these nuances at the stage of preparation for unification. But I have no doubt that soon we will achieve a good result,” the MP said.
