Vadym Novynskyi: Investigation Commission, uncontrolled by the authorities, should investigate corruption in “Ukroboronprom”

The Temporary Investigation Commission of the Verkhovna Rada, headed by Ivan Vinnyk, MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, cannot investigate the revealed facts of corruption in “Ukroboronprom”. This was stated by the head of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction Vadym Novynskyi.

According to him, instead of creating a temporary investigation commission and investigating the revealed facts of corruption in “Ukroboronprom”, the authorities decided to extend the powers of the so-called commission of Ivan Vinnyk (MP from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko - Ed.), created long ago. “The task of the Vinnyk Commission is to investigate the activities of the ministers of defense and prime ministers of Ukraine, who held their positions in 2004–2017, in order to identify their actions that entailed the violation of the defense capability of the Ukrainian army,” the oppositionist recalled.

According to Vadym Novynskyi, Investigation Commission, uncontrolled by the authorities, should investigate corruption in “Ukroboronprom”. The Vinnyk Commission is completely under the control of BPP, so letting it investigate potential crimes of people closely connected with the current president is the same as completing the investigation without starting it. I am sure that the work of this commission will be ineffective, they will find “nothing”, but in fact they will cover everything. In order for the Ukrainian society to find out the truthful information about what was happening in “Ukroboronprom”, a new investigation commission must be created, which will not be controlled by BPP. Therefore, the OPPOSITION BLOC did not vote for the extension of the mandate of the Vinnyk Commission, the head of the opposition faction emphasized.
