Vadym Novynskyi: The OPPOSITION BLOC requires Parliament to consider a draft law on opposition

On May 14, the Head of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction, Vadym Novynskyi, from the rostrum of parliament urged the MPs to recognize that the presidential elections in Ukraine had already ended. “The parliamentary election campaign has not yet begun, it is necessary to continue to carry out its work in accordance with the law, rather than dodge. The Verkhovna Rada, guided by the will of the voters, must immediately agree on the date of the inauguration of the newly elected President, rather than bring the situation to an absurdity. – Vadym Novynskyi, Head of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction, said. “We have a parliamentary-presidential republic and only effective interaction of all branches of government, and mutual respect between the newly elected President and the Parliament are able to lead us out of the abyss into which the country has fallen in recent years.”

The oppositionist required the MPs to consider the draft law on the opposition this session week, in order not to make excuses about the reasons for ignoring the opposition’s proposals in the package of parliamentary reforms. “The OPPOSITION BLOC requires to consider the law on the opposition introduced by the MPs of the faction in 2015 (Decree No. 0948). The document should protect the rights of any opposition and create legitimate levers of influence on the state decision-making process,” Vadym Novynskyi stressed.

The Head of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction also reminded the MPs that it would be impossible to overcome any problems and challenges in the country without extortion of political corruption in the country.
