Tetiana Bakhteieva urged the Ministry of Health to introduce compulsory health insurance as soon as possible

One of the main activities of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health should be the development of a concept and the early entry into force of compulsory health insurance for all Ukrainians without exception. This was written by MP of the IV-VIII convocations Tetiana Bakhteieva on her Facebook page.

According to Bakhteieva, starting from the V convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, more than 15 draft laws, regulating the mechanism for introducing health insurance in Ukraine, were registered in the parliament. “Among them are excellent legislative initiatives, which, after discussion and minor revision, can become the basis for the introduction of compulsory health insurance in Ukraine,” the former MP said.

At the same time, Tetiana Bakhteieva urged the Ministry of Health not to limit itself to creating a non-governmental “insurance fund” in the interests of a group of private medical campaigns. In her view, it threatened to dire consequences.

“In this case, billions will simply be exported from Ukraine. As a result, Ukrainians will be forced to pay for all types of medical care out of pockets, which means that most citizens of Ukraine will be deprived of their Constitutional right to medical care, ”the politician emphasized.

Bakhteieva believes that in preparing and launching compulsory medical insurance it is necessary that the development and compliance with the conditions of insurance programs, the process of calculating insurance payments, the procedure for insurance payments, providing patients with medicines, financing the work of doctors and other issues are strictly controlled by the state. “With the introduction of compulsory medical insurance, it is necessary to leave the monopoly, which will necessarily lead to significant corruption risks and will not make medical care accessible to Ukrainians,” Tetiana Bakhteieva wrote.
