Tetiana Bakhteieva: 3.5 million Ukrainians have suffered from hostilities in the Donbas

The war has been going on for the sixth year in Ukraine. It maintains its bloody account of human death and pain, the tears of mothers and children, the broken fate of people who, not long ago, lived a happy and peaceful life. Broken fates, death and grief are behind every Ukrainian who was burned by the war. Both Ukraine and the Donbas urgently need peace. This was emphasized by the former MP, Tetiana Bakhteieva

She noted that, according to recent UN reports, more than 3,300 civilians were killed as a result of hostilities in the Donbas, about 9,000 civilians were injured, 1.3 million people became IDPs, and 3.5 million people needed help.

“These are tragic and very bitter figures! In reality, the number of victims, deceased, who lost their home is much higher. European partners were able to “count” not all of those affected by the war,” Tetiana Bakhteieva emphasized.

“Death and grief are behind the fate of every Ukrainian whose family was burned by the war. Donbas urgently needs peace!” the former MP underlined.
