Dmytro Shentsev: The opposition will go to the parliamentary elections by even more powerful and strong team

Having split the opposition, Yuriy Boyko disoriented voters, because he played along with the authorities and against the real opposition candidate – Oleksandr Vilkul. However, all these tricks will not help – the real opposition will go to the parliamentary elections as a team. This opinion was expressed by MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Dmytro Shentsev in an interview with the “GorodX” edition.

According to him, the escape of Yuriy Boyko from the OPPOSITION BLOC has actually become devastating for the opposition. “The implementation of this scenario is the result of joint efforts of Petro Poroshenko and Viktor Medvedchuk. In their actions, you can see some collusion and joint plans for the future. People who wanted to support the opposition were just confused and did not have time to figure it out,” the oppositionist said.

According to Dmytro Shentsev, despite the split and tense situation, which were the result of the departure of Boyko and part of party members, the real oppositionists remained true to their convictions.

“Residents of Ukraine, who are not satisfied with the current situation in the country, want to see a strong, united opposition. In this, I see an important part of the future work of the party. Our political force is called the Opposition Bloc — the Party of Peace and Development. Already in the title, we laid the essence of our activities. We will continue to work in order to return peace to Ukraine, prevent the country from sliding into the abyss and, finally, put it on the path of development. Peace, a strong team, high salaries, security are our priorities,” the politician emphasized.

Answering the question whether the OPPOSITION BLOC will support one of the participants of the second round, the MP noted that the opposition would not support any of the candidates.

“We hope that the new President of Ukraine will reformat the state structure of the country into a parliamentary-presidential republic in practice, rather than in words. And in the future parliament, which will be elected this fall, the current opposition forces will be adequately represented and will be able to effectively and consistently defend their program positions. These are positions of development of economy and welfare of citizens in conditions of social justice and peace. We will analyze the presidential campaign, take into account mistakes, draw conclusions, and the opposition will go to the parliamentary elections by even more powerful and strong team,” Dmytro Shentsev emphasized.
