After the five-year period of imaginary reforms of the authorities, the agro-industrial complex is in deep crisis and needs urgent modernization and considerable investments. This was stated by MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Dmytro Kolesnikov following the results of meetings with farmers, labor collectives and residents of Tsarychansky and Mahdalynivsky districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
He noted that, despite the bright statements of the authorities on state support of the agro-industrial complex and reforms, the meetings showed how far they are from the reality in which Ukrainians live. In fact, after the five-year period of fictitious reforms, the agro-industrial sector is actually left alone with its problems. “We all often hear about the alleged support of farmers by the government and the relevant ministry, but in reality it turns out to be fairy tales and slogans, blatant lies,” Dmytro Kolesnikov wrote on his Facebook page.
The parliamentarian stressed that the agro-industrial complex is in deep crisis and needs urgent modernization and significant investment. “Production volumes have catastrophically fallen, the financial situation of farms has deteriorated significantly, permanent physical and moral obsolescence of equipment and a break in the inter-farm relations, both regional and international, is occuring. One third of enterprises today are unprofitable,” he stated. The politician is sure that even with the complete failure of all the reforms, there is still a chance to revive the agro-industrial complex and turn it into a profitable, investment-attractive sector of the domestic economy. “The implementation of the program of Oleksandr Vilkul will help to protect the rights of farmers to their land and allow them to build stable economically active farms. He insists that the state should compensate interest on loans for farms and fully support them. It is necessary to create favorable financial conditions for their development, and this is a balanced fiscal policy and the availability of credit funds. Our village has a promising and bright future, and I am confident that the team of professionals of the OPPOSITION BLOC will create all the conditions for its development!” Dmytro Kolesnikov concluded.
