Artur Martovytskyi: Coalition that has violated the Rules for five years is worthy of dissolution and re-election

The lack of confidence of the majority of Ukrainians in the current composition of the Verkhovna Rada and disregard of the outgoing authorities towards the Rules is an additional argument in favor of holding early parliamentary elections. This was stated by MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Artur Martovytskyi.

“The fact that this Verkhovna Rada has outlived itself is indicated by 4% of the credibility of it. For four and a half years, MPs from the coalition have only “eaten” the taxes of already impoverished citizens. The legislator must understand his responsibility to the voters,” the MP said.

An additional argument for holding extraordinary elections, according to the opposition, is a disregard towards the Rules of the Verkhovna Rada.

“Last week, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Parubiy said: “Today I’m going to act exactly according to the Rules. That is, what was 4.5 years before that was out of the Rules. How many draft laws out of the more than 10 thousand draft submitted and more than 5 thousand adopted should be abolished if they were not adopted according to the Rules?” the politician noted.

Artur Martovytskyi also favoured changing the composition of the Cabinet of Ministers: “It is necessary to change the government, those who have come by quotas. In addition, the quota principle itself should be changed. It is necessary to establish the purity of work on draft laws. All this can be done after the parliamentary elections,” the MP emphasized.
