Statements by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a visit to France and Germany closely resemble theses that were previously voiced by former President Petro Poroshenko. This was stated by one of the opposition leaders Oleksandr Vilkul on the program “Freedom of Speech” on the “ICTV” TV channel.
“When I turn on the TV and see Zelensky there, I like it because I don’t see Poroshenko’s marauding face. However, at the same time, we do not fully understand what Volodymyr is against. In his inaugural speech, he declared his readiness to “put” his rating for the sake of peace in Ukraine. But now, during a visit to Europe – Germany and France – he actually voiced Poroshenko’s statements. Not to mention the visit to Brussels, when he read Poroshenko’s direct speech from the “Bloc of Petro Poroshenko” congress. And this is definitely not about the peace,” the MP noted.
Oleksandr Vilkul also drew attention to the reluctance of Volodymyr Zelensky to reduce utility tariffs. “By one decree, the Head of State can suspend the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, which have increased tariffs in Ukraine – and they will automatically decrease. He needs for this neither parliament nor the Cabinet of Ministers. In the country, almost everyone is in favor of reducing utility tariffs. The President is also in favor of reducing utility tariffs, but for some reason, he is not in a hurry,” Vilkul said.
