People have to see who they vote for, and parties must finally be responsible for what they do, the oppositionist said.
Oleksandr Vilkul, one of the leaders of the parliamentary opposition, wrote on his Facebook page: “Poroshenko and the coalition in the Verkhovna Rada, which people already hate, should stop delaying the inauguration of the new president.
Pro-government parties are afraid of early elections. They realize that people will not forgive them for the tremendous increase in tariffs and prices, cynical earnings in war, humiliation with beggarly salaries and pensions.”
Oleksandr Vilkul stressed that he would “vote for the inauguration of Zelensky on May 19 (if Parubiy submits this issue to the session hall, he can, as usually, “cut” what he does not want).”
“At the same time,” said the MP, “I consider that the Parliament is also obliged to vote for the new electoral system – by open lists. People need to see who they vote for, and parties should finally be responsible for what they do. ”
Oleksandr Vilkul added: “I don’t know how effective President Zelensky will be, but the system of power must be restarted.
In the new Parliament (no matter when elections will be – in the summer or in October), we will remain loyal to our principles, protect people, seek economic recovery and industry support, lower tariffs and prices, and most importantly – end the war. ”
