On the eve of the second round of the presidential election, Ukraine faces a choice between an obvious evil and an incredible risk, said opposition leader Oleksandr Vilkul in an interview with the “Observer”.
According to the politician, the only undeniable thing is that the current president should leave his post.
“As I said during this difficult election campaign, Poroshenko must leave. We all understand what he has done. The war, thousands of victims, millions of refugees, millions of people who left the country for earnings, a ruined economy, pensions and wages, lack of medicine, inhuman tariffs,” Vilkul said.
According to him, on the eve of the second round, Ukraine faces a difficult choice. “Evil cannot be chosen. But, I have serious questions for the second candidate, Volodymyr Zelensky. I think the time has come for him to answer millions of Ukrainians. From what he has announced already, I have serious, fundamental disagreements with him on medical reform. I do not understand how it is possible to support the genocidal experiments of the nurse Suprun; this is a complete misunderstanding of the topic. I have serious disagreements with him on the geopolitical position of Ukraine. As is known, I am a supporter of non-aligned, neutral status, I consider it the strongest position for our country,” the opposition leader said.
According to Vilkul, Volodymyr Zelensky has three weeks to give Ukrainians comprehensive answers to their questions. “Three weeks is enough time. Ukraine cannot wait. People cannot wait, and we cannot allow them to deceive them again,” Oleksandr Vilkul emphasized.
