A forum was held in Zaporizhia, bringing together doctors and experts from across the country. Forum participants note: reforms and the working conditions of doctors must improve the quality of medical services, rather than lead to the closure of hospitals and the outflow of specialists abroad, as has happened in recent years. One of the opposition leaders, Oleksandr Vilkul, during the forum noted that one of the tasks of the new parliament was the abolition of the anti-popular medical reform Suprun. He also called on doctors, experts and the public to come together to develop a joint anti-crisis plan.
During the speech, the MP said: “What the nurse Suprun has been doing for the past five years, sent to us from abroad, is just a disaster. I do not want to say that our medicine was good, it was not good. But the difference between “not good” and “catastrophically awful” is colossal. They want to leave the Semashko system, but in order to leave, it is necessary to come to something. I am a supporter of insurance medicine, and I believe that this is the model that will be effective. ”
He stressed that the state should pay for compulsory insurance for children, pensioners and state employees, and the employer should pay for employees of enterprises. And it has to be fixed at the legislative level, - the oppositionist added.
“For a person it will be free. And then the person will go to the doctor who trusts more, to the hospital that he likes, and he will be treated. He will give insurance - pay insurance. Then money will come to medicine,” Vilkul emphasized.
“And the statements of Suprun that “money will go after the patient” within the framework of the so-called medical reform, and in fact a genocidal experiment, are lies,” the MP is sure.
“Not a single “penny” has caught up with a single patient, he added. - It is very important, when introducing a new system, not to destroy the old one, but on the contrary, to keep all the best. Medicine is not a business, not money, not commerce. Medicine is, first of all, an idea. Thank you very much to the doctors for the hard work they are going through. They are real patriots of their country.”
